I got a pair of Aphyosemion labaye/christyi today and a Fundulopanchax gardenari male. Obviously I am not keeping them together. I just think they are so beautiful and I want to take good care of them. I have done a lot of reading but would like first hand experiences.

Thanks!!

very pretty fish.. im looking into killi's also. where did you get them?

Feed them grown bloodworms 2-3 times a week, use quality flake as well.. they appreciate lots of moss and floating plants. Tight lod as they can jump pretty well and get spooked.. tons of water lettuce if open top tank

I got them from members of the Chicago killifish assoc. There was a big fish swap near Chicago and I got them there. Their next meeting is in January so hopefully I can pick up more then.

Thanks! I have them in a 12 g Fluval edge so there is no jumping out. I have a few pygmy corys in with them. Will that be ok? I feed mostly a variety of frozen foods and not too much flake although I do have flake food. I have the non annuals. I'm not ready to try annuals yet. Maybe in January.

Perfect! I had issues with the male claiming a cave and the female took the top, together they shredded 4 fish in one night.. corys may be under the radar though..watch for aggression is all. I'm pretty sure they require some high protein foods so keep that in mind as well.. post pics when you can, i liked having the breeding colony, beautiful colors.. just wanted more apistos :)
