I just bought some Walt Smith rock from www.oceanpro.com. They sell through Ebay for the best price. Right now you can get cured rock for $2.25. It is NICE. Lots of color and critters.

I found a place called Ocean Pro on Ebay. They are a Walt Smith distributor. Right now you can get cured live rock for $2.25. I bought 25 lbs. and 10 lbs of small stuff for my new 20 gal. Lots of color and lots of critters. Great people too. Check them out!

I'm a newbie to salt also, but from what I can find, you would want to ditch the biomedia and use live sand and rock in the sump. :D

I have 4 discus in a planted 50 gal with neons, blue rams, bolivian rams and 2 clown loaches. They seem to get along well. I do 25% water changes weekly but I am heavily filtered. I have been able to buy 2 blue and 2 red discus , 2 inch bidy, for $15.00 ea.:D

Are you sure they are male and female? I thought females have blue spots in the black spot. :?

I keep 2 fair size angels with 2 blue and 2 gold gouramis. They seem to get along fine. But remember, fish will be fish. :D

Tropica master grow is great. Start with a small daily dose and gradually raise it to get the iron level you want. If you buy the 5 litre bottle from Big Als, it is much, much cheaper. Good luck. :D

Alot of people reccomend at least 5 times the tank capacity per hour, so you need ant least 125 GPH. If you like biowheels( I do), check out a marineland 170. Thay are about $ 21.00 from Big Als. :D

I do not know if it is fact but I heard that the co2 sold at paintball places may have oil in it. It would probably take a lot of plumbing to adapt a regulator to it. The tank would not last long and cost more in the long run to operate. :D

Most cichlids will dig up live plants or eat them. You might do OK with java moss, Java fern or anubis if you attach them to drift wood or rock. I know my oscar thinks he is a bull dozer the way he moves the gravel around. :lol:

Feeders can transmit sickness to your fish. For a safe fresh treat, give them earth worms. :D
