the midas would just in shear size, my midas is just over 10". could swallow all three of my full grown convicts, as babies however,, the convict may imo establish dominence early on. the other problem with a midas is they are not really territorial fish,, where ever they happen to be is thier...

I've been battling an unknown organism for some time now in one of my tanks and most folks on this site will tell you before you treat identify. keep researching go to a bookstore if possible, most a books on fish afflictions, also read the freshwater articles oin the menu at the top of this site
do yourself a favor, have your test parameters ready i promise you will be asked, what kind af other fish are in there? how long has the tank been running? and why did you change 50% water? particular reason or just maintenece?
mistakes will be made,,,, others will be blamed. it would take ALOT more than a few fish for me to call my parents dumb and if i did call them dumb ... than that means they werent thinking when they had me...... so im ,,,also,,,,, hmmmmmm
I've been pondering a way to use a three filter exchange system without replumbing under the sink and i believe i will put a 30gal rubbermaid on wheels with a clear plastic hose to the unit , use a five gal pail for runnoff and a power head in the 30 gal to pump into the tank. people i know love...
