I ordered a Marineland C canister and a piece of driftwood to canada, the prices were still better and it arrived perfect with enough packing peanuts to fill my fish tank lol ;) :)

I used to use tetra color food but I developed a oily film in the top of my tank because it's generally a cheaper food IMO, so for the while now I've been using "omega one super color" flake food and it's been really good so far with no oily film and my fish seen to really like it

I wouldn't recommend the 1 inch per gallon rule, as it can be inaccurate with the bioload of different fish. And without using common sense that rule can cause big problems.
