Cleaning After Buffing Out Haze & Scratches?

Wait, was this on a glass aquarium? I see that it is plastic polish, just don't know if it works on glass as I have never heard of it and I have a tank that is VERY hazy (Not even acid would clear it up) and would love to try another product!

    anybody here run shellies?

LOL, my multi's are completely the opposite. Very fun to watch, they spawn ALL THE TIME (nice to trade for other fish stuff), they are always all over the place and rearrange the sand in my tank making it look really cool. I plan on setting up a 125g and they will be the main thing in the tank...

Cleaning the glass on a "old" aquarium

Muriatic acid is the weapon as of now. I have done a trial application and it has removed some of the foggyness. The stuff is sold in hardware stores in the plumbing section or paint area--IT IS VERY VERY STRONG!!!!!. MAKE SURE YOU ARE OUTSIDE!!!!!!!! Try to get some wind at your back too. This...

Cleaning the glass on a "old" aquarium

Cleaning the glass on a "old" aquarium

Hi, I traded some fry for a 30 gallon breeder tank and I cannot get the glass clear. It has a "film" on each side of the glass an no matter how hard I scrub or use a razor it won't come off. Is there any special "Cure All" to get glass clear? Help would be appreciated, because without it, I will...

Dang ICH is in my tank.....

I upped the temp in my tank to 85 and left it there for 2 weeks. Huge algae explosion that I still can't recover from but the ICH is very much dead and my fish is happy again.

    Too much light?

the plan was to have plants but the last time I bought one it didn't fare too well. It also introduced ICH into my tank (Either it was the plant or live brine shrimp--Can't be for sure) so I haven't tried plants after that. I will have to try plants again I guess.

    Too much light?

I have a 5.5g for my betta and it is just filling up with green algae. I have 2 10 watt CF 65k bulbs over it and am wondering if that is just too much. The tank has been running for 9 months or so, AC200 for filtration.

Slate bottom aquariums and "Leaker" tanks?

Yeah, it was definitly just slate on the bottom (Was able to look into the drilled hole). Cool little tanks though, my multi's would have been so happy :-)
