ok i bought this fish as a convict but he hasnt gotten very big and hes not mean to the other fish in the tank. i have him in a 29 gal with a female betta, a paradise fish, and 10 assorted tetras. so i was wondering is he a convict and just nice or some other kinda fishy?

yes he is .... but he is also a veil tail(which is common)now if he was a delta or a half moon tail... then that would have been the best deal ever but he is beautiful

only until they were free swimming he needs to be there until they can swim on thier own other wise they will fall to the bottom and die

well its really just sitting in there on its side leaning on the side of the tank so it didnt roll at all.... and the babies asr now free swiming and hanging around the heater.... they are so cute... when the get bigger i can take a pic but i tried to and it just dont work

blucat....all female bettas do carry eggs.. in fact the one that i bred was skinny and there are a lot of babies so that is one thing u dont have to worry about... 5-10 gal tank 1/3 way filled with water and no gravel or decor is the best... i found a few sites that are great at helping with...

i know that when i had zebra danios they did... but i never saw them until i bred them.... so maybe your danios are breeding... wouldnt that be cool.... but im sure eggs and fry would be eaten

well most the time when u buy fish at the same time... lets say a pair of guppies.. odds r that they r brother and sister.... so that could account for some"Special" fishies

well today just eggs but im hoping early in the morning or the after noon their will be fry(usally only takes 24hous but my tank is not heated).. i cant wait... but as for what im gonna do with them... umm i dont know... if i can ill keep as many as i can... but other wise.... ummm.. anyone want...

my 29 is from walmart and has been running for 3 yearsish and it is better then any i have owned so i got the 55 and its working great... and also at my lfs i saw a 38gal with just a tank(same brand as 55galtank) and hood (same type as 55gal hood) for $198... on sale!!!

well i got my 55 gal glass tank from walmart , it came with a heater, a hob filter and top with lights , for $168

im so excited as i type my bettas are breeding....YAY!!!! it must have took them 2 weeks of being together to breed finaly.. i can wait so see what the babies will look like.. hes so nice to her its sweet.. hes a real gentlemen.... here is a pic of them embracing... they are in a 10gal bout 1/3...

yeah shes quite the bully she goes every where in the tank.... and the two that are "fighting" are moving the gravel and seem to be digging a small pit and have a bit of a hard time doing it because the gravel is kinda big compared to them right now... but its so fun to watch*cute* :)
