All fish I kept including a few species of tetras, danios, livebears and cats love peas

I take a dozen or so frozen peas, add half cap of drinking water and microwave for 30 sec. Cool them with cold water, deshell and squish with fingers so they look like pancakes.

Frozen brine shrimps work better for cories than bloodworms, also they are easier to swallow for juveniles. I melt the cube in tank water, wash brine shrimps couple of time and damp all in tank. All my fish attack the shrimps but they sink fast and plenty gets to cories.

Tetra Whisper type filters can't support sufficient bacterial colony, but your tank send will serve as place for nitrifiing bacteria to live. So your tank should be Ok, once cycled.
