    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

He may have lost the fin in a fight, and injuries n also cause bent fins. One of my best males was a big leopard super veil with a severely crooked fin, but the fin issue was because he was nipped by tetras before I got him and he had to regrow the fin. All of his offspring have perfect veil...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Well, I left unexpectedly for a few days, right before my wigglers became swimmers. Got home this afternoon and peaked at the tanks to see a HUGE cloud of fry around gold/gold marble pair. The fry are currently tucked into the corner for the night. I fed them as soon as I for home, and there is...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Thanx!!! I actually have clean rainwater collecting in a tank outside as I was gonna use the tank to raise bloodworms and marbled crays outside this summer. I'll have to borrow some water from it next time they spawn. The tank is kept at 78-80 so I didn't think temp was an issue. Of will be...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

His last spawn had about 25 survivers when I got home. Most of it was fungused eggs. I added them to the other pair's wigglers and they never even noticed the difference. His last 3 spawns, with 2 different females have been like this. He ate the other 2 before I could pull them. When he started...

I have 2 breeding pairs right now. What kinds of angels are you looking to breed??? I also have a guest ion for Andy and Bob tho... my big male I sow past his prime as spawns are having less and less fertile eggs from him, which he has noticed and has turned him into an egg eater. What would...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Got home from my gram's today. The eggs in the jar, which got no meds cause none are meth. blue, were wigglers. There were a lot of the fungused eggs, but also a few living wigglers. So I sucked the wigglers and blew them at the gold/gold marble's wall of wigglers. They picked up the ones that...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Well, checked on the tanks one last time before bed, and Leo, my smokey male, was snacking away on eggs. So I moved them to a jar, inside the 10g fry tank for now. There are a lot of dead eggs and I'm going to be away until Monday some time. I have no antifungals in it now as I'm not sure what I...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Thanx Andy!!! I'll have to look into it. I used old ugf tubes and sponge I got out of a shipping box of razors (from when I worked at Walmart last summer) the filters I made work great, but I'm now out of tubing as I made the filters for 20-29 g tanks... Sent from my NX008HD8G using Aquarium...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

OK. Both spawns were layed just hours apart... looks like I'm prob gonna be setting the 20g back up. I had just switched the few fry I had left from the gold/gold marbles last successful spawn to a 10g from the 20 as they couldn't find food and weren't growing anymore, they were starving...

Well I put both my males with their wives, and both pairs layed today!!! Yay babies... but I was wondering... could I put my smokey/silver pair's eggs with the gold/gold marble pair to care for with their eggs??? They are better parents. Sent from my NX008HD8G using Aquarium Advice mobile app

Time to place my guppy in a breeder basket?

i personally dont use breeder traps anymore as the stress can make them either hold fry, or abort the pregnancy... i would just make sure there are tons of hiding places and check for babies every morning as she is likely to drop at night. i got 11 fry from my last female to drop this way. you...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

question? did you do the vinegar test on the slate... limestone and sandstone can both alter ph... i test all new rocks with vinegar before using... if they bubble it indicates a reaction and they are no good. just rinse after to get the vinegar off.

    Mystery eggs?

They will!!! Get them a sponge filter and you should be able to just let them raise the fry. That's what I do. So awesome to watch them care for babies!!! Sent from my NX008HD8G using Aquarium Advice mobile app
