gouramis or angel fish make great centerpiece fish. i would suggest a pair of pearl gouramis

angels are sweet i always suggest dwarf cichlid, they'll never outgrow the tank and you can have so many. and they have alot more personality than barbs or tetras or other school fish like that

I think you could keep guppies in there. I've seen operations where people breed and raise guppy fry in 1 gal cookie jars
