would it be possible to get 1 gbr so that I dont have fry and i heard they are VERY aggressive during breeding

Personally I have not read that they get very aggressive, that sounds like kribensis. IMO its ok to keep one, as long as they have the requirements they need. Hard to keep however and even the most experienced keeper can loose them for no good reason. Why not keep a pair, I'm sure as long as they have the room at the bottom of the tank your other fish would be fine.

What size tank is this? What other fish are in it? Generally GBRs shouldn't terrorize your fish if they're kept singly but you'll still get the occasional one that is.

yes i have 1 gbr in my tank and he has a whole lot of tank mates he doesnt bother anyone not even my 3 week old male guppy who he could easily eat
