So my bro has a 40 breeder. We have a fluval canister filter. A saltwater test kit a heater a hydrometer 40# live sand 40# dry rock 10# live rock. And salt mix of course. Anything I'm missing to start it up? What should we do first and what's the best way to start the cycle ?

I was thinking of doing 2 par 38 led bulbs for the lighting on a 40g breeder. Think this would be sufficient?

Ok I have to 2 36" marineland marine bright led fixtures on my 180g cichlid tank but it always looks kinda yellowish and it bugs me what should I do to make the water clearer/ light brighter. I was thinking of adding a couple of par 38 bulbs to enhance it. Here's a pic of the tank

Ok I have this sump for my 180g freshwater. I would like to eventually one day convert to salt would this work. Can I put a skimmer next to the return pump? Would you replace the bio balls with live rock and or cheato? Or would you sell this setup and start new?
