    My new tank...

It actually has a lot of open swimming space since its 30" tall. I don't plan to stock too heavily. Just a colorful mix of small active community fish.

    My new tank...

It's 48L x 24Wx 30T. So it's a tall rectangle. I like it because it has lots of free swimming space above all the decorations.

    My new tank...

Thanks! I wanted something really colorful. Right now I'm cycling with tiger barbs. I'm still working on my stocking choices, but I won't be adding any new fish for about a month until the tank finishes cycling. I really had fun with the decorating, got my husband to help too.

    Fishless cycling help needed

I've decided to bite the bullet. I'm emptying out my tank to rid of the household ammonia and using barbs to cycle. I'm already used to testing twice daily and water changes are really easy.

    Fishless cycling help needed

Hello, I've had my 150 gallon up and running for almost 2weeks. Temp around 84, couple of air stones bubbling away, ammonia dosed to about 4ppm. I'm using pure ammonia I found at Ace hardware. I've been testing daily but ammonia level has not dropped at all! I thought surely within 2 weeks it...

    Filter opinions

I am almost ready to set up my 120 gallon freshwater community tank. I am still undecided as to which canister filter I want to get. My tank will be in on the 27th so I have a couple of weeks to decide. I'm reading mixed reviews and was hoping some members here could offer their own experiences...

    Stocking/compatability suggestions

I do not have the tank yet. It will be a 120 gallon, probably a fluval or Eheim canister, still researching. And I plan to do fishless cycling before I put anything in. My last tank was a 55 and I had too many fish and also fish that should have had a larger tank. But I was very inexperienced...

    Stocking/compatability suggestions

Ok, I'm months away from getting my tank. But I very much like the following species and would appreciate comments/recommendations/advice on whether or not these particular fish would do well together in a 120 gallon tank. First of all I have to get a gold Severum. My favorite fish from a...

    Starting a new tank

Hello! I am going to be starting a 120 gallon freshwater setup and wanted some input on filtration. My previous tank was only a 55 gallon and the Tetratec I had seemed to malfunction quite a bit. I plan to really take my time with my new tank and really appreciate feedback. I had my eye on a...
