    Decent Auto Feeder?

I have several vacations planned and I would prefer not to worry or rely on someone else who doesn't know anything about fish. I found one feeder that was digital and very programmable. But in my search I have found several different models. SOMEONE here has got to have one of these!

    Decent Auto Feeder?

Anyone use Auto feeders? I have found some pretty expensive ones online that have a lot of programmable options, but I was hoping to find someone here that could give me a review of theirs.

    L-46 Zebra Plec?

Glad someone said the Bristlenose . . . I always wanted to try those guys in my tank too.

    L-46 Zebra Plec?

Sweet Guys! Thank you! Yeah, I'm still a ways from actually buying and breeding. Especially considering the price. Right now anything I have ever bread was by accident. Unplanned pregnancies . . . What filters have you guys used when "purposely" breeding? I know the undergravel is VERY fry...

    L-46 Zebra Plec?

Hey all. I haven't been on here in awhile, but I'm diving back in. I've been eyeballing the L-46 for a couple of years. I'd definately like to try breeding, but first I'm looking for a reliable source for purchase. Any ideas? As far as breeding; which is the real question, anyone here ever...

    Low Maint. Saltwater?

Wow. I'm starting to actually picture this as a possibility in my head. Thanks you guys. I like the idea of keeping a large container in my basement. I certainly have a large enough basement. We have a coat closet, but it's not nearly large enough to hold any meanful amount of water. So let's...

    Low Maint. Saltwater?

Hmm . . . the thing that concerns me is where to mix my saltwater. Where can I store it and then easily pump it into my tank if my tank is setup in the family room?

    Low Maint. Saltwater?

Wow. Great stuff, Guys. Sorry it took so long to get back. I know there will always be a bit of hands on work. And that's fine with me. But some aquariums have more than others. I learned that with my FW experience. I know one factor can be simply the tank size. My dream has always been the...

    Low Maint. Saltwater?

Question: Can I have a low maint. (relatively speaking of course) saltwater aquarium? And can it be 125gal? It's been a long time since I was last on here. Been busy. But recently my brother and I bought a house together, and I finally have room for a 125 gal aquarium. What I've always wanted...

    Selling 55Gal

Hey guys. Long time! Well I just bought a house and I'm ready to go big. So I'm selling my 55 gal to anyone in the Denver area for $50. Except for one or two minor scratches its in perfect condition. Well, you may want to hose it out. It's an All Glass aqurium with a overflow fliter. Comes...

    Power Filter Suggestions

Good point. :) I've just come to the point that I think a Power Filter is the way to go for me. I'm extremely unhappy with running an overflow on my freshwater. The setup just didn't work out like I had hoped. And it also increased the amount of maintenance I was forced to do. I need to aim "low...

    Power Filter Suggestions

Sweet guys, thanks! I know someone else who has one too and it seemed to do the trick. Guess that is what I will get then.

    Power Filter Suggestions

So I'm going to a power filter. Possibly replacing the tank. But that's another post. Anyways, I would like to hear from you guys; which one have you been the happiest with, and which one seems to be the quietest. I know that will probably be two different filters for some of you, but tell me...

    Worms . . . Help

Hmm . . . nothing in that link really matches up except for "Unkown Worm". THese little things really tick me off. In the mean time I have scraped them all off and did a 50% water change (which I do every weekend). I have also switched to sinking pellets for feeding. I'll let you know what...

    Worms . . . Help

Yep, and the worms have been harmless to the fish. By the way, my water condition: Ammonia: ~0ppm Nitrite: ~0ppm Nitrate: ~6.0 PH: ~7.6 The worms aren't free swimming. They stick to the sides of anything in there. What the picture is of actually is the burrow that they make. The worms live...

    Worms . . . Help

Hey Guys. I have worms. Again. I came across these last time in the first incarnation of my 55 gallon. Since my tank was broken down for two months during my move, I figured I wouldn't have to deal with them again. Guess I was wrong. Here's a picture of them on my mega-flow box. What do I need...

New Filter - AC 70 on 29 Gallon Tank - Too Big?

You know; I think there is someone on here that doubles up her filtration because she wants crystal clear water. I can't remember who told me that, though. I'm willing to bet it will be fine. Now if you had the 70 on a 10 gallon tank . . . that would probably be different. What kind of fish...

    my fish are scratching

In my experience it mostly starts on a visible area of the body, but I have read several articles showing ich in the gills. And since you can't see in their gills it's almost impossible to diagnose. The good news is that it's JUST ich. The heat treatment has worked very well for me in the past...

    2 New tanks! Wow.

Wow. Too bad you are all the way out in Maryland. Why doesn't anyone ever sell a tank in Denver, Colorado?

    Building an Odd Shaped Tank

Long story. :) Basically, my main tank is only 55 gallons; so my stand limits the size of sump I can fit in it. A standard 10 gallon tank doesn't even fit. I have two 5 1/2 gallon tanks in there right now. They are just too small and water evaperates from them too quickly.
