Hello, I just had a question and was wondering if anybody could answer it . Lately my Power Filter has been picking up these little pieces of what appears to be like sponge. I have 3 Giant Danios and a Pleco in there and everything seems ok i just wanted to know what it is. Anybody have a clue ???

well i think its easier to keep rock than sand since water doesnt flow as good trough sand than rock so some food may stay there that the fish dont eat and later change the quality of your water. Also you if you do add sand it will cloud the water but only for a few hours and then settle down...

well you can raise the temperature in the tank to speed up the life cycle of the parasite and i guess you can treat the water with medicine like Jungles Ich Away Hope you can solve your problem

Did you just rinse it ?? Because your supposed to soak it for a while so it wont end up like that. Well in my opinion you should break them up. Water may get cloudy for a while but it will settle down in a few hours. Hope you can solve your problem :D

oh and third you should only feed your fish what they can eat right away on a few minutes. Not a lot of food should be going to the bottom because thats how problems start with water quality. Hopefully if you do start a new tank it would be wise to do fish less cycling. The cycling can take...

ok to start with walmart kits arent too good their heater, filter, etc. are some of the cheapest ones you can get, Second if you're a begginer you would do better to start with a bigger tank since they are easier to take care of. I believe that planted tanks can help you have better quality...

first you have to see from an angle if the spots look like small grains of salt or just white spots ont the fish. If its the small grains of salt then its probably ich
