I have had this tank for about a year my water levels are good except I realized this brown color on my water heater is this ok do I have to worry about it it also seems that it's eating it away. I also realized that it looks like somthing was eating away at my rocks to should I be worried...
Sounds like you have to many fish your tank can only have 10inches of example you have 10 fish that are 1 inch so you can only have 10 fish. If you go over it prob cause problems

I had same problem put a piece of lettuce at the bottom at night and in the morning take it out and repeat until all is gone

Also does the water your changing it with already have high ammonia levels you might have to do it with different water
