Stocked my big tank today! I don't think I want any more fish in it, at least for a while. Nobody has any issues with each other and for the most part they could give a crap less about each other. Lol
Here's what I got:
1 frontosa (with the agreement from my hubby that he will get his own tank down the line if/when he gets real big, win!)
1 five bar cichlid (which side by side to the frontosa look EXACTLY alike, but his fins are a darker blue)
1 electric blue ahli
1 yellow ahli
1 feather fin catfish who prefers to be upside down over anything else.

I also rearranged and made more caves and tomorrow I'm picking up some more stones so I can make some bigger ones to accommodate the big ol catfish.

Really nice tank. I finally got the perfect stock in my 55g as of Sat. Was a 4 month process. Feels good, huh?

Thank you! It feels awesome to finally have fish in there! I've been reading for months about what you can and can't put together and I'm still not 100% sure they're "supposed" to go together, but they all were in the same display tank at the store together so I figured I would be okay. Haha So far so good! :)

And the catfish was a surprise from my hubby... He saw me eyeing him up in the store but I just couldn't decide to commit to him or not, so after we got to the car he said "oh shoot I forgot I wanted to look for something, wait here" and a couple minutes later he came out with it and handed it to me. He might not be so bad after all! LOL

What a nice hubby! Mines very supportive of my new fish hobby, too. Can t help you with the stock, I know nothing about cichlids other than they re fun to look at!
