1st Day of Cycle: Parameters

Yesterday I received all of my live rock and added it to my brand new 40 gallon tank. I'm going to be using the rock to do my cycle. I took numbers before and after the rock was added. Here they are:
pH
8.200
8.000

Ammonia
0.000
8.000+

Nitrite
0.000
0.500

Nitrate
0.000
10.000

Salinity
1.022
1.024

How do these look in terms of things going the way they should be? I haven't quite become an expert in marine chemistry yet

Ok, so it has been a little while and I wanted to update everyone on my parameters and get their opinion. Here are what they are right now:
pH: 8.3
Ammonia: 0.0
Nitrite: 0.0
Nitrate: 5.0
Salinity: 1.024
