Hey everyone. I was testing my water earlier and found that my nitrites were at 5.0 (I am cycling) but I have a brown algae bloom starting? I was told this happens after your nitrites were down, but mine aren't? Could it be that my test kits are wrong? Should I bring it to the LFS and have them test it? What should I do?

Sounds like it's just a diatom bloom which happens. It will go away on its own just keep waiting. Lfs will also test your water if you ever want to double check a test
