I set up this tank on 1/18 and 3 weeks later running CO2(1.5bps) and dosing 2x a week with thrive.

That's some impressive growth for virtually no CO2.

I would bump that CO2 rate by 400% before algae can take hold. (assuming roughly 50 gallons of water??)
