30gallon surface dweller

Hi guys after my butterfly fish died im looking for ideas for another surface dweller. Ive seen hatchets and half beaks and neither really stand out to me. They will be goin with an african bushfish, swordtails and kuhli loaches. I only really want one solitary fish to keep stocking levels low but on the plus side ive just upgraded to a u4 filter so that will allow for a little more maybe a pair.

Any ideas
