i have three questions

i have at least one bristle worm that is 6-8 inches long should i get rid of it?

i have some volcanic rock that i would like to add underneath my live rock
it used to be in freshwater but has been dry for about 2 months can i add it safely?

lastly i have a seaclone protein skimmer that lives up to it reputation
which is a good replacement that is not very expensive?

thanks

Most people like their bristles as clean up crew some hate them. I'd leave them in there to make sure they aren't killing anything and leave it in.

I'd boil it before throwing it in.

What size tank do you have?

Check out Octopus skimmers. They are good for a tank your size with a relatively good price. Very few complaints in the reviews.
