adding canister to a 55g

knowing that I need to add more filer than the current AC70 I am thinking of adding a canister. Should I get just enough to compliment the AC ? Or go big and just go canister only ?

At the moment it's just

6 zebra danios
2 false juli corys
4 bronze corys
1 bnp

just lost 10 cardinal tetras and two of the corys to an ongoing ich battle.

been looking at the fluval 06 series to add to the tank

You can't go wrong with fluval 306/406 or eheim 2215/2217. Keep temp in the mid 80s until your ich is gone. The BNP will appreciate some driftwood. Let is know what you restock with.
