Advice on filter

Hi I have 2 superfish 200 filters in my 30 gallon and everytime I'm cleaning it, its full of baby shrimp! Is there anything I can do to stop them getting in? Maybe something I can cover it with? Thanks

I see that is an internal filter. You could wrap the intake with coarse foam to stop shrimp from getting in. Something like this...

I'll try that as I have that foam here , would fishing line be safe or do you have any ideas.
