African cichlid and ghost shrimp

Is it ok to put ghost shrimp in my tank, I know when my fish get bigger they will end up eating them, but is it safe for them to eat em. Also will my young fish be safe now from the shrimp, cause I have heard that shrimp will eat or kill fish also?

It would be a waste of money. The shrimp will be eaten. My 1-2" africans ate about 20 ghost shrimp overnight in my tank when I first started it.

I figure it would, is it alright to feed them to my African cichlids, they sell em for feeders down here for 10 cent apiece

It's ok, as long as its just a treat (not often at all)... I personally don't think its a good idea though...

Ima just stick with the flakes and pellets, thanks
