Cycling with plants is slightly different to not using plants.
As plants like ammonia and nitrates. So you need to read up on it.
I'm currently doing fishless cycle with no plants, and I'm right near the end. My ammonia and nitrites are disappearing quickly. Its been 4 weeks.
Do 75% to 90% water change after cycle is complete, and put the fish you desire, in the next day.
