Algae on my plants

Algae is caused by an imbalance of nutrients. Too much food or light and you will get algae. Generally it is caused by leaving lights on for too long each day.

As for removing it from plants, the best way would be to rinse/wash it off or get something to eat it. Otos and bristle nosed plecos or shrimp will do a good job.

You can also spot treat it with hydrogen peroxide or Excel.
