My newly planted tank has a lot of brown and green algae forming on the sand. I used pfs as my substrate. Unfortunately my job has kept me running some weird hours lately and my light stays on more than it should. What can I do to get rid of the algae on the sand? Thinking of getting some Otto's or Amano Shrimp. Thoughts?

For a timer. Don't buy one for aquariums specially. Way too expensive. Get one of the christmas light ones!

I got a two pack of timers at home depot for $5. They really help and I do recommend timers if you have an odd schedule of being home like I do!
