Algae

Hi all!
I have a 46 gallon bow front tank with 2 fancies. Lately the algae on the plants and big rocks (not the substrate) seems to becoming more present weekly. I do a 10-15% water change every week, test levels with the Master Test Kit (all on point), and wipe the interior walls weekly. I also syphon the substrate (half) every 2 weeks.

I wipe it away, but what is causing this? Light? It doesnt get natural light.

What kind of algae? Is it brown? How long has the tank been set up? If it's brown it's likely diatoms which are normal in fairly new tank setups. They'll go away on their own...eventually.
