I have alot of algae build up in tank. wondering how to get rid of it. I use magnet scraper and just got new aqauclear 50. Light is only on 8-10 hours daily. Also do water changes everv2 weeks. Doesn't get any sun either. Any suggestions?

Is the algae on the glass walls, decor, or the water?
Reduce the lighting to 6 hours. You can slowly increase up to 8 hours when things get under control.
You could try doing water changes once a week.

I recently added 4 ottos to my 55 litre tank and they do a fantastic job of managing the algae. They've only been there a week and a half but haven't had to scrape the glass yet!

I have an overstock planted tank. Few snails, dose excel once a week.Light is 6-8hrs a day. I think fast grower plants/floating plants helps take the nutrients.
