Algone + purigen ?

I guys,

I am looking for algae and nitrate control. I am already using 100ml of purigen.

Is it good or safe to use both together.

30 gal tank with 5 live plants

My plan was to use it in my chemical basket (fluval c4) along with purigen.

My second option is to use phosphate remover along with de* nitrate from. seachem .


Right now I need to do 25%water change multiple time during 1week to maintain correct nitrate level.


2 gupys
2 gold barb
2 very small tetra
2 small tetra
1 medium size angel
1 big 6 inch pleco

Over crowded?

if you need to control nitrates, up your water changes. dont dump chemicals in. water changes will be your best bet.

I would say overstocked. specifically with that pleco (common i assume) they nude enormous tanks, probably 75 gallons or larger. They have a massive bioload.
