I have a pair of American flag fish. I have noticed the male guards a java moss patch for several days. Today I find they are mating and the female lays one egg each time. There have been some eggs on java moss and driftwood already. This is a community tank and I assume all free swimming fry would be eaten eventually. What can I do? Move eggs/java moss is not easy since they attached to driftwood. I am still thinking what to do.

Post: I moved most of eggs (30+) on java moss to a breeding net. The net sits close to outlet of HOB so that eggs get oxygenated. This should save them from predators.
