American Flag Fish

What's everyone's thoughts and experiences with these fish? Do they do well in a community? How big do they get? How many can be kept together?

I had 3 in my 45gallon community. Two of the 3, a male and a female, we're very aggressive. They did a fabulous job of keeping the tank clean. But I ended up removing them because of the aggressiveness.

My g/f had a couple in her tank. Had to take them back to the LFS bc they were shredding everyone else's fins.

I've been interested in them too. The bad experiences are kind of disappointing...but I've never seen them for sale anywhere anyway, so it's no big deal I guess!

Before I got mine, everything I read said they were peaceful community fish. NOT! They might not chase a pleco or some other fish that would ignore them. Oddly, they never went after my Betta. But my poor swordtails... oh my.
