My teacher at school has a couple of Angel fish (each about the size of a quarter) in a 29 gallon. I'm supposed to take them home at the end of the year to care for them in the summer. Here's my question: How do you get them out of the tank once they get big? I am concerned I am going to hurt their fins if I use a net and I'm not sure what else would be effective enough to catch them in.

Get a big angel fish net and when you catch them before you take them out of the water use your other hand to hold them in place so they can't flop around in the net. If you don't already have something big enough to transport them I'd recommend going to the closest bait shop in spring and getting a styrofoam minnow bucket, they're big sturdy and cost a couple bucks.

Keep calm and drum on
