Angelfish Tankmates

I got an Angelfish and two bronze Corys in an about 5.5 gallon tank. My tank has one live plant a heater filter and bubbler I want another Fish that is dosile like my bronze corys and i want it to be able to defend itself against an angelfish. Please Help !!!!

Hi. That tank is way too small for angelfish. Consider upgrading to at least a 20G or larger.

The Angelfish is small and i have ordered a large tank from ebay
I was wondering if when my large tank comes i might get some female guppies

I keep angelfish with several different species, a good rule of thumb is to pick a non aggressive type fish that is too large to fit in the fishes mouth. I currently have some with black neon tetras and some with glowlight danios.

Definitely work on getting a larger tank set up before you start adding stock, though.

When you make stocking plans, stock around the adult size of the fish you are keeping, not the current size.

Thanks for the replys i will definitly wait till the new tank is here as my space is limited at the moment. Black neon tetras and Danios are on my list now. For the record I am not a very experienced Fishkeeper

Depends on how big the "large" tank is.
