After your tank is properly cycled, if it will be awhile before you add fish, lets say 2 weeks. Will you still need to provide ammonia to keep your good bacteria alive or will they be ok?

Sorry for my ignorance!

Continue to dose ammonia to 2 or 3ppm every other day to keep your colonies alive. You may want to do a partial water change at least once and keep an eye on your nitrates and nitrites to just to be sure.
