Anybody got any clues as to what this is, the small white star shaped thingy in the picture, there are many of them crawling around in my substrate varying in size from 5mm to 20mm.

Could possibly be a brittle starfish.
I'm not really sure though. I have one in my tank and it stays hidden most of the time. HTH

They are the cutest but I haven't seen mine since I put in the lr they came on. Very good detritus eaters.

could be a sandsifter starfish. i just found one in my tank the other day when i was trying to sift out a clump of cyano, hes so cute, and moves really fast too! mines only the size of a pencil eraser.

I saw this too, but ive only got 1. I did some resaerch on it, and thought it was a serpant star (but really small). If it has little hairy things comin off of it, then its prolly a sandsifter, but if its smooth, id say serpant imho
