Anything to do with UGF

Have an old UGF for a 5g tank- been sitting in the garage for 5 years now. I don't want to use it as an actual under gravel filter- but is there anything else I could do with it besides toss it into the landfill?

I'm not sure if this would work but I would try it... get some moss and make a moss wall. cover one side in moss and hold it all in place by stuffing the most into the holes/slits of the under gravel filter

Thats so crazy it just might work! I've been meaning to make a moss wall too!

its worth a shot! I made one out of screen mesh and it did not turn out how I wanted and its not doing so well survival vise :/
