its hard to tell does it move around? it it does then most likely it is one, but i never have a problem killing them tho, my peppermint always doing a good job.

Doesn't honestly look like a type of Majano. I would think more likely a species of Corallimorph, possibley Rhodactis sp.

Where did the rock come from?

The rock came from a LFS. I bought it for the shrooms but didn't notice the wave, tentacle looking stuff on the bottom.

The white stringy stuff looks like a type of branching sponge. You could remove it if it gets out of hand.

Didn't see this earlier but are you refering to the sponge or the small polyp to the left?

Then as Fluff said, it's a sponge. Shouldn't be a concern really.
