aquaclear filter motor

I have a bunch of aquaclear filters and several of the motors have burned out over the years. New motors cost about half as much as a new filter. You can get them on Amazon, BigAl's online etc. I just wanted to let people know that you don't have to buy a totally new filter. You can also get replacement impellers other parts.

Are you sure they are burned out? I thought mine was until I learned you can just clean the impeller and it works just like new. I've had the same ones for years and some of them were used.

yes. I tried to clean the impeller and that didn't help. Another one I had cracked where it fits to the filter box. I guess I have bad luck.

Too bad I've never had one break and I have 5. eBay is a good place for their parts
