I am currently at 9 months on my stock PC bulbs for my bc29 and am interested in upgrading. I was wondering if the radions xr30 would be overkill on the tank? I would take the bc29 hood off of course and use the new radion mount.

I am planning on upgrading with in the next year and would pick up another radion for the tank. Currently looking at the cad lights artesian 70 or 100. If I want to go radion down the road anyways and I have the founds right now I thought it might be a good idea to just get the equipment now.

In case some wants to know stock
some SPS--cats paw, birds of paradise, Acro green banzai, monti digi
Lps--frogspawn, couple zoa colonies, micromusso, blastomusso,
Gsp colony and yellow polyp colony

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. This forum has helped me tremendously through my time in this hobby.

Check out par38 bulb or kessil. They work wonders from what I hear.

I think the radion would be fine. You'd just have to run it low for a while and slowly work it up to acclimate your current corals.
