Are tank lights safe?

My tank has a plug In where the tank light changes colors. I have heard that it causes stress. Is this true? Here is a picture of my fish with the lights on.

I dont understand the question...lights dont cause stress in fish if thats what you are wondering...

Ok, lights dont cause stress unless they are on 24 hours a day. Fish need some darkness, they enjoy their beauty sleep.
