Hears mine
There are the German blue rams and Bolivian rams. They are different species, but have very similar needs and temperaments. Yes, they are cichlids from South America. Gold rams are a color variation of the GBR. Those are the rams cichlids that are common in the aquarium trade.Ok, ill check them out. Thanks.
Are there more than one type of ram? I have book that has different species of fish, and it only shows on pictures for a ram. Is it a type of cichlid? I don't really care if it is or isn't, I am just wanting to know so I can find some deep info about it.
THose are apistogramma, another species of dwarf cichlid. Yep, they would be ok in a 20 gallon.Ya they are beautiful! Would double or triple reds be ok in a 20 gallon?
It isn't either of them. It is a dwarf mbuna. I do not know much about them though. Is a demasoni cichlid a Shelly or a ram??

They are typically more expensice than rams, but that price is crazy! Severum Momma ha one and it was definitely cheaper than that! But aren't they really expensive? I looks on live aquaria.com and a double red was 69.99 (or maybe 60.00) dollars. (Eek!)

Personally, the price tag has kept me away from them. My bolivians were much cheaper and are tons of fun to watch.

Definitely. You could do a school of any small, peaceful tetra. You could also add like 4 kuhli loaches if you want. I keep rummies with my rams, but there are loads of other small schoolers that would look very nice and get along well.So I could have a pair of rams and add some other fish? Like a school?
