Assassin snail

I buried my snail in .5 to a inch of gravel, that i added to the old gravel. Dwarf hairgrass and amazon sword just planted in that area so i dont want to dig for him. It has been one day and i have not seen him, will he crawl up? If he dies that should not mess up my fish/aquarium correct?

It's probably fine, but even if it's dead it's not likely to cause a huge problem unless it's a very small tank.
I can go weeks with out seeing my snails only to have them suddenly reappear.
Why did you bury it in the first place?

Did not mean to. Forgot to look for him before adding the last section of new gravel and realized he is missing
