I adopted some molly fries which were about 1,2 month old and they weren't like this but now some of them are showing really protruding belly . Please see pics:
One of them just dropped dead a few days ago. The morning the fish was swimming fine and eating food and an hour later when I wasn't looking, one with huge belly just dropped dead out of no where.
I performed autopsy hope to find a cause, in his belly I just saw fish guts, opaque white mushy watery like little noddle strains, I didn't really food in his stomach if there is any I would see it colored (Tetra granule XL). It's just it seemed he got too much guts for his size, I concluded.
I added salt to the tank, water change, etc... So far no more deaths. Could you offer any suggestions or remedies in case this is abnormal fish conditions ? TU
