Hi everyone,

I posted a while ago about the first baby fish who made it to adulthood. I now have two more itty bitty plattys. My question is... what do I do with them? I can't keep adding new fish to my tanks. I don't have room for them nor for another tank. I don't want to flush them down the toilet or something similarly cruel. I don't really know anyone nearby with fishtanks. I deliberately left the parents in a tank with other fish so the fry wouldn't make it; they seem to be surviving. Apparently I have accidentally created a platty farm.

Any suggestions?

A lot of lfs will take unwanted fry and sell them. Not on commission, usually, but more as a favor to customers. I have a lfs near me that takes Apple snails and guppy fry from a friend of mine.
