Backyard pond

Has anyone had any success with a pond in the back yard?

I live on the northeast and our winters are pretty cold. How feasible would it be for me to maintain one? And would I be limited to only goldfish, let's say?

You don't give specs for your pond size depth etc

goldfish ,Shu bumkin .(Sturgeon if you have a bigger pond), And some carp species can be brought as well so you are not limited to just goldfish but only buy fish within your parameters (google is your friend )
