Star moss I believe is a non-aquatic moss.

Although it's not in your list, IMO, flame moss is the best looking moss. It grows straight up and it doesn't branch out(I like that look) unlike java moss. It looks like a flame when it gets thick. That's why it's called flame moss.

Do you have a few pieces of Dw? Why not try both and see which one you like better?

Best Moss for Driftwood

Good morning Java...

Don't forget Singapore moss. This type is interesting. I have it in a couple of my tanks under identical conditions as near as I can tell and it grows completely differently.

A nice addition to any tank!

Driftwood Moss

Hello again Java...

I mean I have the same moss in separate tanks, but similar environmental conditions. Aquatic plants will grow differently even though they're planted in near identical conditions.

I have about the same plants in all my tanks with a couple of exceptions and even though I maintain them the same and have the same lighting and even fish, the plants have a way of growing a little differently and even at different rates.
