hi. new here.

just set up a 5 gallon tank two weeks ago (added cycle additive and dechlorainator that came with tank set). then waited a week and added a plant.

i'm not sure when it's okay to add fish.

went to the lfs and there were plenty of kits which were quite expensive..

can anyone suggest a good water testing kit?

thank you so much.

API master test kit. I pay around 30 bucks from the LFS. You may be able to find it cheaper online though, I just never bothered to look.

Petsolutions.com has the API kit for $17.99, but you will have to pay for shipping, unless you purchase $49 worth. I think this price is only for a limited time.

That's why I never bothered looking. Figured if pay the difference in shipping anyways. Lol.

You can usually find it on eBay for about $20 with shipping too.
