Aquarium Advice FINatic
Alright so I bought a female betta from petsmart 1 week and 2 days ago. Shes in a 2.5g in QT (I'm waiting for the 50g to cycle then that will free up the normal 10g QT) no heater no filter. Now before you say it, I know she should atleast have a filter and I did have one running on it but the flow was just too strong and it stressed her out so I've just been staying on top of PWCs. Anyways she wouldn't eat at first and I always thought it was because I frightened her, so last night I fed her then left the room and army-crawled back in. I noticed she was trying to eat, she would put the food in her mouth and spit it out a moment later. She never even attempted to eat before. I also noticed from that angle that she has what looks to be a cottony growth on her stomach. I've attached some pictures, But I'm almost sure you'll need clearer ones. Just snapped a couple before I left for school.
