Yesterday my 5 y/o niece and I bought her a betta for her heated and filtered 2.5g. When she left she forgot him up in my room. I have a 10g tank with a male betta and 3 rummynose tetras being qted. If I put her betta in a breeder net in the tank with a net over it so he cant jump out would that be alright or would the two males try to fight and stress eachother out?? I feel bad leaving him in that little cup when he could at least have a bit more space and a filter and heater until she picks him up next week. If not I guess ill just have to do daily water changes.

If they can see each other through the net, they will flare and probably get stressed. It should be fine for a day or two, just use something to obscure their vision so the two cant see each other.

I concur with the above posts. I don't think its worth the risk of they can see each other, but if you can block the view, that could be ok temporarily. :)
